About Us

Propagator Press is a small publishing company which specialises in local, social and military history.

Some of these titles tell the stories of brave men doing whatever was required of them under extremely difficult circumstances, others tell of the rewarding struggles they have faced since the end of World War II.

Achtung! Swordfish!, Behind the Wire, Surely We Are Winning and Ernie’s Underground Army are told in the men’s own words, giving them an immediacy and a great relevance to the world of today. Yield to None and Just Jane, however, have been written by experienced authors, whose research and attention to detail is apparent.

Since its launch, Propagator Press has sold to bookshops throughout the country. Some of these publications have obvious local interest, but most tell stories that many people will either remember or be fascinated by, wherever they live.
